Hi, This minute fly waved its wings on a grass blade today, but it seems to be no Sepsid. I guess it is Geomyza tripunctata (Opomyzidae). What do you say? Thanks, Sundew PS. On the upper left, there is a Calliopum (Lauxaniidae) for comparison. On the upper right, an animal smaller than the black fly under consideration is to be seen. It possibly belongs to the Hymenoptera, but I doubt that it can be identified (too small for my camera). Edited by Sundew on 11-10-2007 22:16 |

Wow - I found the right name for a tiny fly myself! Now I am quite proud. However, it happened by chance while looking over the gallery that I stopped at a Geomyza pic and thought: Hey, that's my little black one from today! Anyhow, many thanks to both of you for confirmation. Greetings, Sundew |
