Hi flyforum, I was wondering what kind of fly this is? I thought it is a Scathophaga-specie. Perhabs someone can tell more.. Or is it Suillia-specie? What kind of Scatophaga  ? ?(picture is made by Arend Breukel) Edited by Robert Heemskerk on 14-10-2007 00:04 |

Thank you Susan! What makes it Scathophaga for you? and not Suillia sp. ? and.. What about Scathophaga suilla? (looks like it.., but I am not very sure..) Scathophaga Suilla: important characters are red antennae, plumose arista, red shoulders and black apexes of yellow/red femoras. Where are the black apexes of yellow/red femoras?
