Drosophilidae, Leucophenga maculata from Romania

Hi,

again today (17.october.2007) at light. 3 specimens until now, even if the night is very cold, ~less than 20 insects (at least what i can see).

checking thru the gallery and forum i have come that this is Leucophenga maculata, also after checking with: Okada T (1990a) Leucophenga maculata species group. (Diptera, Drosophilidae) of the Palearctic and Oriental if some one need this paper is available here: www.dgrc.kit.ac.jp/~jdd/class/0705/03070585E.pdf

someone can confirm?

Just wanted to say - good photos Cosmin, and very good drawings on that japanese site.

Should be L. maculata, but I feel the frons is very whitish (and not the usual yellowish colour).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
