Stomorrhina lunata?
Isidro
I found this flies always near Inula flowers. Last time I couldn't photograoph it, but yesterday I get a picture. The habitat is salty prairie of Suaeda vera and Phragmites australis, surrounded by dry steppe-lands. The fly was in the leaves of a strange Inula sp. with succulent leaves (adapted to salty environment).

I find it very similar to the gallery one Stomorrhina lunata, but I don't know if can be more similar species here.

Near Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain, about 200 meters high, dry continental-mediterranean climate.

No, there are other Rhiniinae but there is only one Stomorhina lunata (that is: in Europe).

Thanks... then, not Stomorhina? What genus can be?

Isidro
More opinions? What genus is it?

Xespok
I think this is Stomorhina lunata, a male. That is what Theo said.

Oh! I understood that Theo tell me that this is another Rhiniinae, and that in the genus Stomorrhina the only European species is lunata.

Sorry, my english... Pfft

It could have been interpreted in that way, so you're not to blame. Smile
