Hi Robert. I think that this time you are quite right, it is Scathophagidae and most probably Scathophaga stercoraria. And the prey it eats is some Aphid, I think. Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

It is my impression that in this species the males are harier, and also more yellow ~ orange than the females. |
