Hi, I am not able to figure out what the exact family name of the robber fly as shown in the picture is. Can anyone give me a hint or clue to look further? Yes, this would also be my best proposal, but in most cases female Tolmerus-specimens on pictures can not be identified to species level. Of course Danny is right but the other look-a-like species have never been recorded from the Netherlands, so so I think you can savely name this one T. atricapillus
