 Bibionidae - Bibio anglicus ?

Hello, I observed this Bibio the 30th of April in the north of France, approximately 8 mm. I think of a male of Bibio anglicus but hesitate a lot with Bibio marci, I don't know how to differentiate them with certainty ? Cordially Maxime    |

The wing venation excludes B. marci, however, the spur on front tibia suggests leucopterus. Did you consider this species ? Theo Edited by Zeegers on 30-04-2020 19:05 |

No I didn't know this species. Do you have documents illustrating these Bibio like the wing venation… for me to learn ? |

To me, it remains unclear. The wing seems too dark for leucopterus and the front spurs seem ok in one pic, but not ok in the other. Theo |

ICertainly not leucopterus, which has wings clearly whitish in male. I would rather incline for anglicus (but with a question mark...) |
