 Empis with pennate hind femora

Hi, These Empis flies are active at the moment, and the key https://www.dipte...(2017).pdf does not bring me to a result. The female has pennate hind femora and distinctly hairy hind tibiae, so perhaps Paul is able to put a name on it or finds out to which group it belongs. The locality is southwestern Germany, 20 km west of Stuttgart. Thanks in advance, Sundew |

Empis nigripes complex is fine, thank you! I see where I went wrong in the key: I thought the dark thorax stripes to be between the lines of bristles, not along them. Sometimes it is difficult to decide! |
