Looks more like Asilidae to me. Dioctria or somewhere close!?

Yes, surely a Dioctria female, maybe even Dioctria hyalipennis (which is not so common).

But there is a special forum for Asilidae here, you should move your post there and experts would say more.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
