"NETHERLANDS: NB, Udenhout, de Brand, 25.iv-2.v.2020, malaise trap" I not sure where this specimen, functioning as transportation for a Phthiraptera, belongs. Lacking large bristles at the last abdominal segments, I'm inclined to call this a calliphorid, but I'm not sure at all. The specimen is photographed while floating in alcohol. I totally skipped the option Muscidae. Now it was pointed out as an option to me, and I was told to check the hypopleurals, it became clear that without hypopleurals being present, Calliphoridae is not an option. Could it even be 'just' Musca domestica? Jan Willem van Zuijlen |
