auct. nec. = name was used for wrong species by several authors. In this case I guess Loew erroneously though Linnaeus' femoratus was identical with valgus and thus he described curvipes as a new species. Other authors followed Loew's intepretation, until someone checked the types and realised that the name femoratus Linnaeus was used for the wrong species. Kahis |
