Niek van Wijk
I took these pictures this afternoon in my garden in Putte, The Netherlands.

Dear Nikita,
Thank you for your response, I will have a look there as well.
Regretfully I am not qualified to make any judgement but I do follow these discussions between experts with amazement and admiration.

Hi Niek,

I agree with Nikite, this is not Heleomyzidae but Lauxaniidae.

Hello Jan Willem,
Thank you for your comment. I had a look in the Gallery and the picture of a Meiosimyza I found there looks very much like my fly indeed. I shall write that name below the picture in my album.
Best regards, Niek

Dear Jorge,

I had noticed your "seems". The advantage of t h i s forum of specialists is that the members are willing to write down their ideas even when they hesitate - and if they do they say so like you did - since they are confident that one of their confreres will react when thinking differently. I know other forums - an amateur like I am with insufficient knowledge of the subject to judge the quality of the replies tries several - where, if you post a low quality picture like the one above, will not receive any answer at all since the members seem to fear to "lose their face".

Best regards, Niek
