is it possibe to distinguish between Sapromyza sp. and Chyromyidae?

I guess it is difficult, but maybe there is chance :-)

Hi John,

Thanks a lot for identifying.
Could you tell me what speaks against Chyromyidae?

Regards
Sven

The strong dorsal preapical britles on the tibiae are not present in Chyromyidae.

Bristles of the head and thorax are black. In Chyromyidae they are usually yellow to brown. Tibiae have preapical bristles, absent in Chyromyidae. Two pairs of reclinate fronto-orbital bristles are the normal condition in Lauxaniidae but Chyromyidae often have three. Most Chyromyidae have weak vibrissae.
