Good evening, I have spend a lot of time trying to find something about this 3 mm midge. Its from Juli near Brunssum. Now I hope I've chosen the right family with Dixidae. Ben Edited by Ben Hamers on 22-05-2012 18:38 |

Sorry, Ben, wrong family. It is a member of the Ceratopogonidae, I think subfamily Forcipomyinae, maybe even a species of Forcipomyia.

Thanks Paul, Well, at least Ceratopogonidae and Dixidae are neighbours in the Dutch checklist, so I hope my guess wasn't to bad. Ben |
