 Tephritis nigricauda ?

This Tephritis was found in the village of Yegen, Alpujarras, Andalucia, Spain on 22 March. No specific plant, there were a variety of weeds growing iun rubble. I have had other photos from here identified as Tephritis nigricauda and on this one the white patches on the wings seem to be in much the same places. However they are smaller, so overall the wing looks much darker. Is this just variation and is this still the same species please? |
