Is it possible to ID this egg laying Lonchaeidae?
Netherlands, Woods near the westcoast may 2020

Its difficult from photographs to get to a satisfactory species level ID. My best guess given your locality and time of year would be Lonchaea scutellaris

Thank you for the wild guess Iain. To be on the safe side I'll record it as Lonchaea sp.

To quote Iain from his own key: "Adult: this species is immediately distinguished from all other European Lonchaea species by its enlarged palps, which extend forward well beyond the mouth margin". I think he missed it in the images, but this is Lonchaea palposa.
