Looks like Nyctia, although the wing is only slightly darkened.

Yes, it does. I took this picture in the same area only 13 minutes before.

Hi, it's most probably a male Nyctia lugubris - although slightly darkened, indeed. But the petiole at cell r4+5 seems to be typical for lugubris.

EDIT:
It seems to be N. halterata, too (I overlooked it in thread_id=97940):

Christoophe says "Nyctia haltera n'a habituellement pas la R5 pétiolée sauf une population méditerranéenne."
(Nyctia haltera usually does not have the petiolate R5 except for a Mediterranean population.)

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
