Check the key to Achalcus in Pollet (1996): this is certainly not A. cinereus, but might, indeed, be A. thalhammeri due to its unicolorous thorax. However, you can only achieve 100% certainty by collecting the specimen and compare it to reference collection material. |

Marc, the only way I could identify it a thalhammeri was because I had the actual specimen.

Dear Paul, Great to hear this. Is this observation to be found in waarneming.nl? Then I could include it, together with the collectors and identifiers, in an upcoming paper on new doli species for the Netherlands? Any chance you might get a male as well, you reckon? Cheers, Marc |
