Hi José, it closely resembles what I identified as C. rosae. But unfortunately I do can't tell for sure which characters tell the species apart. Greetings from Northern Bavaria, Eric |

And finally with this key (in german): Identification Key of the Westpalaearctic Species of Chamaepsila (Diptera: Psilidae), Wang 1988: 2 scutellar bristles, 2 dorsocentrals, 3 verticals, thorax all black OK. We cannot see the underside of the fore femora: Fore femur with row of longer hairs ventrally? = nigricornis else rosae Our flies seem to be C. nigricornis or rosae. Greetings, Eric |

I add two more photographs to try to show the details that distinguish the two Chamaepsila species that are in doubt. I also comment that I have the collected specimen and that for me it is of no more interest than the photos that I can take of it. If you may have any interest or curiosity in receiving the insect, I can send it to you by post in a small eppendorg with 70% alcohol or 10% formaldehyde.
