A late Tachinid. I think I saw this species even in November, which is a late date for Tachinids in Hungary.

The genae are remarkably small, which suggests either Thecocarcelia or Thelyconychia. And given the erect apical scutellars, it is Thelyconychia, which fits the 'jizz'. Uncommon in Central Europe. So congratulations. Theo |
