Tephrochlamys tarsalis
GAREL Jean-Michel
Hi,
I have identified this Heleomyzidae as Heteromyza atricornis; it was observed on december 20th in the north of Yonne Department (Burgondy). Do you confirm this species ? With all my thanks, sincerely yours, Jean-Michel Garel. Merry Christmas.

The species name "atricornis" refers to the entirely black antennae. Your fly is a different species.

Thanks John Carr. Since antennae are not black for this specimen, have you an idea for the species ? Heteromyza is it the good genus ?

The cross-veins are dusted, so it's a Tephrochlamys flavipes, if the face is whitish or T. tarsalis if dark grey

That is only the part between the antennae. The lower part seems dark, so I would say tarsalis.
