Seen this fly on water surface and floating vegetation of pond oct. centre of the Netherlands. See form of epandrium and surstylus shown in normal folded condition and prepared pulled out position. Posthumeral bristle very small smaller than humeral bristle. Tergite 5 shorter than tergite 4. Vertico-orbital relatively small. Best regards, Jan Wind www.diptera-in-beeld.nl |

pic 4 light brownish colors of 'nose bridge' (between interfoveal area and front) and light brownish colors of antennal fovea (hollow area under antennae) often typically found in this species.
