Tachinidae, Pales pavida?

Hi, Last year, at 16-07-2020, I found this Tachinid in a box in which I rear caterpillars (Wageningen, the Netherlands). In the box I had Lymantria dispar (all already adults at this moment), Thaumetopoea processionea (pupae at the time) and Phalera bucephala (prepupae). It is well possible that the Tachinid had used one of these species as a host. Can this fly be identified from these photos? If so, I will also try to make the photos available for this site. Yes, it is Pales processioneae and hence Thaumetopoea must have been its host. Theo |
