Sized about 7/8 mm. she was first resting on dung but when approached her she flew up to an oak leaf. There she stayed for while. Decidouos forest openning on a river bank november 11th 2007, river Sil canyon (Orense) Spain at 200 mts. Thanks in advance. Rafael |

Hairy eyes, ocelar bristles, 3d ant. length, all this doesn't match with Peleteria. Linnaemyia ? Stephane. |

I agree with Stephane - Linnaemyia - from the hairy eyes and protruding mouth edge & pale basicosta, but also the longer antenna 3 and lack of Peleteria bristles also helps  |

Correct. And given the blonde hairs on thorax. relatively narrow parafacialia and red femora (difficult to see), I'd say this is L. vulpina. Theo |
