I photographed this Asilidae near the little village of Condove in Susa Valley, Piedmont (Italy) at 350 mt above sea level, on September 9th, 2018. Could it be Neomochtherus geniculatus?

This is not N. geniculatus..... first impression would be Tolmerus cingulatus or cowini, but that doesn't feel right too.

In the first place it is very rare and not known from Italy. Sometimes cingulatus can be somewhat darker. To be sure a look at the femora in good light would help.
