ORCHALLAN
Hello

Does anyone have an idea for this little beast head ...?

Thank you
Allan

Xylosoma
It belongs to Scathophagidae which are not clearly separated from Anthomyiidae. The species is Ceratinostoma ostiorum which develops in seaweed. I'm interested in material of this species for the case you could find a small series in future.

Xylo

Hello

Thank you for this feedback and this identification.
I will return to the site to try to collect other individuals, if I succeed I would need your skills again, for validation before sending you the specimens.
In the worst case, I kept the individual subject of this post in alcohol and could send it to you.

thanks again
Allan

Xylosoma
Hello Allan,
Your unexpected and surprising offer is really great. I would be indeed happy to receive comparative material of this species and hope that sooner or later you will be successful looking for it.
Bon chance
Xylo

ORCHALLAN
As I am not sure to find other specimens, I can mail you the one I have in my possession.
If I find others (and I will search!), I will send them to you afterwards.
Can you give me your address.
Thank you
Allan
