Hello everyone, is Tabanus sudeticus correct? The fly measures more than 2 cm in length. Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum, 53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, Stux hill, dry and warm habitat (grapeyards), 09th June 2020. It was attracted by light. Hi Michael, you might have overlooked that Theo has identified it as autumnalis: e.g. antenna black, the triangles on the abdomen relatively large, reaching mostly the base of the tergites...
