Well, they have 4-5 species in Italy, which can only be recgnized by genitalia. I would stop at Chorisops. Theo |

Hi Elina, There are not many Entomological publications, certainly of Diptera, from Italy. But there are some very good ones, there is one about Stratiomyiidae: https://www.resea.../258065960 faunaitalia clearly is not.... Kind regards, Ectemnius |

That's true, Ectemnius! But unfortunately there are not enough images to exclude caroli and masoni which are possible for Lazio, too. I think we can only exlude nagatomi due to it's mostly yellow abdomen. Saluti, Eric |
