Interesting fly ... slight petiole (perhaps?); very wide frons; 2 broad dark longitudinal bars on the anterior thorax. Not something I have seen before, I think, so over to Theo Smile Do you have any more photos - showing the head/face?

Admontia blanda.

The frons is indeed broad, as well observed by Chris. The wing venation suggests Blondeliini. Then this combination suggests Admontia. IN the second picture the small hairs on the parafacialia are nicely shown, confirming the suggestion.
And then blanda is the only species with 2 black vittae on the thorax.

Tachinid faces are often silvery (eg. Eriothrix rufomaculata) but in this case I definitely think the photos should be in gallery due to the rarity of this fly Smile

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
