? really don't know what

Hi,

first of all sorry if this is in the wrong section, but i don't know what is it there?

today i have been for a little out.
in the morning was very cold everything was frozen but later a lot of fly started to move. but this is not the problem.
later just when ending my little trip found something very strange (never seen something alike).

any opinion are welcome? it is a pupa, or many pupa (from a parasite)?
it is in my front but i don't know what to do... start to "explore" with a pin or...

The pale, smooth object on the left looks like a coleophorid case (Lepidoptera), perhaps with a hole that has been eaten by a parasite when it emerged.
I'm still thinking about the other blob. Grin
What was it on? - is that a grass flower-head? What was the size?

Hi Tony,

thanks for the help.
now i have looked better on that and yes indeed is a coleophorid case...
now about the other thing. in total is something like 10mm.
i have just played by doctor. and looked what is it inside. removed the outer leyer from one of that "room" and founded inside something else? a cocoon?

one photo taken thru binoculars maybe will receive more answer. the cocoon? and the "room" also some of the exterior layer structure can be seen.

and Paul i'm sorry to post this one here, i'm almost sure that that mass of "rooms" is some kind of hymenoptera cocoons. if this is the case please move this topic... and sorry for the crossposting.
