Member Location: Posts: 429 Joined: 04.11.07	Elachiptera graeca Becker, 1910, male, Chloropidae: This typical Elachiptera species can be identified after its mesonotum (scutum) without deep furrows, acrostichal setulae not in strong criss-cross arrangement, apical pair of scutellar setae on widely separated projections, yellow humeral calli, yellow ocellar triangle with dark ocellar tubercle, palpi dark, yellowish legs. It is known from Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic, "Yugoslavia" and Italy (isle of Elba). Similar species are E. lenis Collin, 1946, E. orizae Séguy, 1949 and E. rufifrons Duda, 1932. Nothing is known about the larval substrate or preferred biotopes.
