Small black fly, 3,5mm, sheltering from the early morning cold on a Quercus suber leaf.
March 15, 2021 in Minas de Riotinto (Huelva).

That's a nice male Lonchaea sp. (Lonchaeidae). I am a bit intrigued by the orange palps - if you see another please try and collect it - its really the only way to ID these species.

I thought it was blowing a bubble and the orange colour of the palps just a reflection in the water.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
