Hello, Yesterday, astonished by what looked like small red bugs (in fact, they are the flowers) on the extremities of what looked like a thuja, I brought back a branch to photograph it in better conditions. While taking the picture, a small bug escaped from the plant, a midge. I captured it. Determination of the plant thanks to Pl@ntNet, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ( Lawson's Cypress). A small tour on W.N. Ellis' site by looking for the host plant: https://bladminee...awsoniana/ ; a single midge, Cupressatia siskiyou. Searching for this bug, we find https://www.resea...nish_fauna . The bug looks very similar. I don't know if this is conclusive ... Many thanks and best whishes.
