Hello, many Kirbya moerens here the last few days, but two Tachinidae from today I only noticed at home at the PC on pictures of other insects. So no good pictures... This one visited sloe blossoms next to a Bombylius major (northwest Germany). Many Kirbya ?? We still have only one ! In any case, this Tachinidae is a Siphona in the maculata-complex, impossible to say which one. Theo |

Thanks! I thought of Siphona, but I never saw one this early in spring. Earliest find until now was April-25. Mostly they occur in early May.
