Don't get too close to it...them Boogie-Woogies like a bit of Beech.
Paul Beuk 29 December 2009 10:00:40
I will check out that beech when I am back in the Maastricht area. Haven't been there for som 10 days now so I missed the local papers. Wink
Roger Thomason 29 December 2009 09:23:30
If you want strong winds Jorge come up north. We had winds of 285 kmph = 177 mph in 1962. May have been more but it blew measuring kit away http://en.wikiped..._Saxa_Vord
Roger Thomason 28 December 2009 23:09:07
Not as bad as European Beech though. There appears to be one suffering Beech Blight somewhere in the Maastricht area. Those Boogie-Woogie Aphids may be spineless creatures, but once they get going. Pfft

jorgemotalmeida 28 December 2009 21:14:17
lol yeah... I hate those Eucalyptus and Acacia as well! Better would be a specific nematode that would destroy those 2 plagues! You can begin the destruction as you gave the idea. Wink
Andre 28 December 2009 21:11:49
Nature benefits from storms... can't you arrange a storm that destroys all those boring Eucalyptusforests in Portugal? Or better: you become the Eucalyptus-destruction-man!
jorgemotalmeida 28 December 2009 21:04:37
you cannot come here. You would be taken by the wind. Pfft "Sting jet" would be more correct.
Andre 28 December 2009 21:02:48
So?
jorgemotalmeida 28 December 2009 20:55:51
we had 140 km/h winds in the South! There were about 20 high tension towers destroyed.. http://tinyurl.co...
