and flies... more scarce to the north... here I sw lots of Drosophilidade, Sepsidae, Muscidae, Calliphoridae, but not so much Syrphidae, Asilidae, Bombyliidae - flies that prefer more warm weather

lucky you. here INDOORS the temperatures are about 9?C!!!! at night about 5?C... yes, we have very cold habitations, in general.

Well, 15 ?C in NL, about 9 above average but by no means unique. highest ever max. December temperature in NL was 17.8!

@i hope one day hymenoptera.info comes to reality. it would be very nice. I didn?t find a good forum about wasps. (for ants, there are very good sites, as for bees)
