Thread subject: Diptera.info :: A Vespula queen?
#1
Found wandering in the grass. Larger than common wasp worker (15-20mm body length). Knowing that only mated females survive the winter could it be a common wasp queen (Vespula vulgaris)?
Thanks,
Joaquim Gaspar

But V. germanica is not supposed to have the black bar in the face, just three dots.

Most probable is it V. germanica.
