Found by a forest road June 4 - South Norway, Telemark. 7,7 mm.

It should be obvious and it does not ring a bell…
it should be female Eumea linearicornis, but thoracic dorsum has only 4 dark vittae, not five….
Did you repaint it ?

He he - No, I never repaint any flies - even though I'm pretty good at painting.

Do you still have the specimen ? There is a vague central (fifth) vitta. So it should be OK.

So please check if on the anterior part of the thorax you see 3 dark central vittae or just 2 ( in which case the central is lacking).

I have looked at it in a stereomicroscope, and yes, there is a faint vitta in the center of the thorax - which is bare like the other two vittae. But I do not know if it is sufficient ...
