My goodness. Ine Blondeliini after the other.
First impression is Stautochaeta albocingulata ( thick arista, broad vertex, closed topcel). You got this species last year as well

My mistake. The other one was from Sweden.
I can’t check my collection, but I have little doubt it is OK.
Your juniper info supports the ID.
Possibly, this species profits from climate change (?), possibly, it is simoly overlooked.

I went back to the site where we found the fly to check if there were any junipers growing there. - and it did. Sorry to bother you, Theo, but do you think I can report it as Staurochaeta albocingulata?
