Thread subject: Diptera.info :: unknown fly

This fly seems distinctive (extended anal cell, head shape, colours on legs etc.) but I've been unable to key it into a family Shock, help please!

Many thanks Paul - now you've told me what it is I realise I've already got a named specimen in my collection Frown too many flies, not enough memory (my memory that is, yours is obviously well able to remember plenty of them Grin).
