I tried to key it with the highly recommendable
https://www.eis-n...;TabId=563 but found it difficult, as some characters are not well seen. Nevertheless I think it's
H. pluvialis, as other candidates have different ecological requirements.
Theo will surely contribute an expert opinion!

The best way to go, in western Europe, is to look for the typical olivegreen colouration (sometimes absent in eastern Europe !).
This requires good colours.
In these pics, the contrast in unusually high: the black on the legs is very black, the yellow is bright orange etc.
Did you “improve” the contrast ?
If so, could you please post the pics in original colouration.
Or is it a very hard flash ?
Thanks

Hi Theo,
so once more: I didn´t improve the picture. The only thing I changed is the section of the picture. I don´t used a flash. But I didn´t have time to make better pictures, because the fly sat on my trosers and sawed through the pants.
So it´s propably not possible, to determind the fly with this pictures?
Greetings,
Siggi
