Hi flyforum,

Today I found this fly on the sluice-doors in the Amsterdam forest.
My first idea was Lucilia, but looking better it seems Muscidae sp. to me.

And it got many similarities with Neomyia, is it a male Neomyia cornicina??
Is it common in winter?, never seen it before.

braun eyes, green cheeks and I miss one pair of dorsocentral bristles?

It would be nice if someone can confirm this Smile

Male N. cornicina is OK for me, except that there is no red hat in my keys. Grin
