This fly was photographed on June 23th in central Greece. It was found near a water stream and it reminds me of a
Neomyia spp but I'm not quite sure. Any help with the identification is highly appreciated.

Hi Chris, it's a Muscidae but due to the bow shaped M vein it should be Eudasyphora or Pyrellia. BNot all important characters are visible but the undusted thorax combined with the very broad and metallic shining frons makes me vote for the female Pyrellia vivida.
