Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Metasyrphus luniger ?

Hi all,
using the keys in Verlinden, I come to the (shaky) conclusion that this might be a female Metasyrphus (Eupeodes) luniger . But some details such as the color of the hair on the scutellum make me doubtful.
Size 10-12 mm.

It?s quite safe to call this Eupeodes luniger (we don?t use Metasyrphus anymore).

it is pretty common at high altitudes. Wink
