Picture taken in mid August, east China (Zhejiang province). This Asilidae has 3 tergites uncovered by its wings and the legs have a lot of spines. It looks like a Machimus to me. Can it be confirmed? Or there're some other candidates that look similar? Many thanks in advance.

I did a quick check. Two species of Philodicus have been recoreded from east China, which are P. chinensis and P.javanus. Perhaps javanus. The pictures of male P. javanus I found at this link look very similar:
