Picture taken in April, east China (Zhejiang province). It has long and slender legs, so I would identify it as Dexiinae. But could it be further narrowed down? It seems to bear a good resemblance to Cordyligaster. Is this genus a good candidate? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure. Some “Blondeliini” like Eophyllophyla can be very similar.

Superb!
Eophyllophyla in the Blondeliini tribe seems to be much more promising than Cordyligaster in the Dexiinae subfamily. I think my specimen is very similar to Xespok's Japanese Tachinidae in this thread:

Did a quick check. Eophyllophila filipes and E. elegans have been recorded from China.

I did a quick look using Google images search at pictures of species in Blondeliini that have been recorded from China without finding a good match so far. So maybe something else. Eophyllophila, however, seems to be the most promising genus in the Blondeliini tribe.
