the female told " you forgot my gift!!" oh.. yeeah... empidids are famous because the males usually give a gift (a juicy prey) to the females before the act.

"i don't care. I'm in a hurry."

Well, there WAS a gift, although a small one. You'see it if you look closely. Unfortunately, I could not get any other angle due to the situation of the flies inside a currant shrub.

I think got picture with gift last week. The gift maybe a Bibio marci male.
