Hello,

a 7-8 mm Scathophaga in our garden (northwest Germany) yesterday. Is it possible to tell the species?

Looks from this perspective quite similar to Scathophaga stercoraria female. But surely you had this in mind.

Greetings,
Frank.

Hello,

this was not Scathophaga stercoraria (antennae not dark, different colouration), which I know well. Perhaps S. furcata?

Not stercoraria, I would also think furcata.
