Old photos, February 2021. Looks like Dolichopodidae to me, but that proboscis is very strange for this family.
So, no idea.

Clinocerinae or Brachystomatidae.

Thanks, John.
From a strange Dolichpodidae to a strange Empididae.
I will look into these sub-families.

Don't think it's
Dolichocephala - the head is attached in the wrong place (almost at the vertex in
Dolichocephala). Having said that, trying to resolve the large mouthparts with the wing venation and leg morphology leaves me a bit puzzled...

So, an interesting fly!
And maybe now I am saying something very stupid, but could it be a
Clinocera species?:

Thanks, the three of you, for your time and expertise.

Heleodromia
Best wishes,

Heleodromia doesn't seem to fit either.
Clinocera seems to fit better. But let's wait for the experts.

This fly belongs to Brachystomatidae, not Clinocerinae of Empididae.
More precisely:
Pseudheleodromia Wagner, with single described species (P. helvetica) from Switzerland. Pseudheleodromia is identical with Heleodromia, except forked R4+5.
