Hi,
This little fly was sitting in a bell flower. It was about the size of a mosquito. Which species is it?

Hi eric,
thanks for the determination. This woolly hawk moth seems to be not so common or it is overlooked

That's true, Volker, and I had a hard time to identify my first one in 2019. But since than I find it every year and they love pink blossoms

Hi eric,
good to know, thanks for the info. I'll keep my eyes open, maybe I'll find another male?
